The Growers

We buy from people, not places

The people behind the cup.

Every coffee we carry starts with someone's work, somewhere specific. Burc goes to the farms we buy from. These are the growers, as we found them.

Hambela

Hambela

Tesfaye Bekele and family · Guji, Ethiopia

We got there at the tail of the harvest, drying beds still full. What stayed with Burc was the sorting — three passes by hand before a cherry made the tables.

"They treat sorting like a craft, not a chore."

El Mirador

El Mirador

Pepe Jijón · Huila, Colombia · 1,750m, pink bourbon

A family farm on a ridge that catches the afternoon fog. Pepe has been pushing his fermentations longer than most would dare, and the risk shows up as sweetness.

Rumanda Station

Rumanda Station

A smallholder collective · Kayanza, Burundi

Hundreds of families, a few hundred trees each, all carrying cherry to one hillside station. The coffee is quiet and exact.

"The smallest farms, the biggest reason to show up."
